Selling a Home in the New Orleans Area
After 17 years in his Marrero home, Vincent decided it was time for a new beginning. Having remarried, he and his wife realized that going back and forth between two homes was taking a toll on their relationship. What they wanted most was unity — and that started with having one roof over their heads. ❤️
Vincent’s wife reached out to a trusted friend in Mississippi for advice. That friend happened to be a former RE/MAX agent from our New Orleans office — and she thought I’d be the right fit to guide them through the sale.
When we met, Vincent shared his goals clearly: sell for a fair price and move forward quickly so they could begin their next chapter together.
Pricing was a challenge. The local market data didn’t offer many recent sales to use as comparison — something common for homes in established Westbank neighborhoods. After reviewing every possible comp and market indicator, we decided to list at a price that would attract immediate attention.
Within just a few days, the plan worked. Multiple buyers scheduled showings, and two strong offers came in at the same time. After careful negotiation, we moved forward with the most motivated buyer — one working with a trusted local lender who had the financial strength to close quickly.
From contract to closing, my focus was on keeping everyone informed and ensuring that the process stayed smooth. Coordinating the inspection, appraisal, title work, and final loan approval required clear communication among all parties. Thanks to teamwork, we closed in just 20 days after the purchase agreement! 💪🏻
At the closing table, Vincent told me:
“Luke, you are very professional. You kept me informed and stayed on top of things throughout the process of selling my home. We appreciate everything you did for us, and I’m so grateful for our new friendship.” — Vincent T.
Helping sellers like Vincent move forward confidently — both financially and emotionally — is what makes this work so meaningful. Call or text now to start your first or next home-purchase journey!
